In 2002, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance was released for the GBA. Although considered to be the lesser of the three GBA castlevania games, it still is a really fun game. Although, I kind of question the decision to make Juste glow bright blue at all times. That’s not how you “brighten up” a game Konami.

So I have 15 bucks. Should I go to gamestop now and get Assassin’s Creed (which is 15 dollars), or should I save my money until I get ten more bucks so I can get Castlevania (which is 25 dollars)? I love hack and slash games and Castlevania seems interesting, but Assassin’s Creed looks like it has more to do in it.

Presented in POST COMMENTARY VISION! Yep. I am an idiot. I forgot to turn a setting on during recording, and it made me have to go and do some post commentating. Well, there’s a first time for everything, isn’t there? Now for the episode description. This time we explore to reach the Catacombs, get a few new (and awesome) items, and we take down a boss that will be familiar if you’ve played one of the Castlevania games that came after this one. (I’m not saying which.) Now for the Disclaimer: Castlevania, and all related materials, is copyrighted to Konami. I don’t own nor claim as my own any materials that they own.

If you’ve seen the Angry Video Game Nerd’s review of Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest, you know how much he thinks it sucks! If you haven’t seen it, do that now! It’s hilarious! However, the first time I watched it I wasn’t laughing…I was pissed! How could he say this game sucks? I LOVED this game as a kid, though I clearly remember it sending me into a temper tantrum on more than one occasion. After giving his review a chance, I decided to play it again without the veil of childhood to blur my vision. As it turns out, he may be right about some things. I still love this game though it IS severely hindered by some rather glaring game design flaws that keep it from being the great classic game I remember. In the near future I will be posting some videos of great games of the past that may have slipped under your radar. If you’re interested, please subscribe! I would like to thank Reyes for help recording the video and being a good sport about me cutting his big scene, Andrew for being in the day/night skit (sorry it’s too dark to see your zombie costume!), my parents for being so supportive and watching this video a million times (and of course for letting me live in their basement), Josh for his valuable input, Arthur Bullock for his meticulous attention to detail and help editing this video down to 10 minutes (I could have gone on a lot longer!), AVGN for being awesome, and of course YOU for watching my video and reading this ridiculously long description! You are the …

Although the MSX 2 port (localized in Europe and Brazil as Vampire Killer) was released first outside of Japan, the series did not receive wide attention outside of Japan until the FDS version was ported to cartridge format for the Nintendo Entertainment System and localized for North American and European releases of Castlevania in 1987.[citation needed] The series soon became one of Konami’s flagship series.[citation needed] The Castlevania titles have been released on various platforms, from early systems like the Nintendo Entertainment System to modern consoles. It has also been released for Pocket PCs and mobile phones.[2][3] Games: The very first console title, Castlevania, released for the NES in 1986 by Konami, was a typical platform game in which the player takes the role of Simon Belmont, a descendant of the Belmont clan, a family of vampire hunters.
